Share Your Story…
Why is it important for girls and women who are in or have aged out of foster care to share their stories?
We believe that through telling our stories we can find each other - and realize we are not alone in our journey.
Girls and women who have experienced foster care have stories with narratives that hold immense power to inspire, inform, and advocate for change.
By sharing your foster care experience, you have the opportunity to shed light on the often challenging journey through the foster care system and provide valuable insights to policymakers, social workers, and communities about the improvements needed within the system and the things that are working!
Moreover, your personal story can serve as a source of hope and encouragement for other girls navigating similar circumstances - demonstrating that resilience, determination, and success are possible, even in the face of adversity.
Guidelines to sharing your story:
We ask that all stories and journeys are respected.
Please do not post any identifying information (for example: names, places, cities, ages, etc.).
