The Tulsa Girls’ Home Board Members serve as a committee to radically improve the lives of abused and neglected girls who are placed in the foster care system and need residential care. They are a group of justice seekers who are on a mission to raise the standards for child welfare in Oklahoma and show grace and unconditional love for each and every child who enters the care of TGH.
The TGH Board assumes joint oversight for general program and policy, funding, and compliance with the Department of Human Services. The board represents the diversity of the community we serve and meets three times annually.
Breaking the cycle of trauma in teen girls is a challenge that requires the involvement of all of Oklahoma’s economy and society. This challenge cannot be solved by the government or the faith-based nonprofit sector alone. We need all of Oklahoma to be part of the conversation and the solutions for our girls in foster care and those aging out of the system.

Meet Co-FounderBrittany Stokes, LPC-C
Brittany Stokes is the CEO and Co-Founder of Project Orphans, Inc. and Tulsa Girls’ Home—organizations restoring hope and opportunity for vulnerable children and young women locally and globally.
Before launching her nonprofits, Brittany built a successful career in corporate marketing, using her communications and marketing degree to represent major brands at a national advertising agency. Despite her success, she felt called to use her skills for a greater purpose—advocating for children who had been abandoned, abused, or forgotten.
In 2011, she founded Project Orphans, which now serves thousands monthly through its Uganda campus providing medical care, education, and foster homes. In 2020, she co-founded Tulsa Girls’ Home, a therapeutic residential program offering trauma-informed care, counseling, and life-skills training for girls in foster care. Under her leadership, TGH has expanded to include transitional housing for young women aging out of the system.
Brittany is a Licensed Therapist-Candidate with CREOKS, serves on the Oklahoma Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and sits on the board of Aetna Better Healthcare of Oklahoma. A Tulsa native, wife to Kyron, and mom of four, she believes every act of kindness—no matter how small—can change a life.
Join our team.
As a TGH Residential Care Worker — you are responsible for meeting girls' needs, taking into account the residents' ages, physical and mental conditions, and other factors affecting the amount of attention needed.
In addition, you are a person who is part of empowering the girls we serve and helping them discover restoration, hope, and their purpose.
